I installed my first WordPress site a little over three years ago.
Since then, I have been messing around with the WordPress codex and have created over at 100 sites, all built off the WordPress CMS.
I absolutely recommend using the WordPress content management system to every single one of my clients that are in need of a site.
It is ridiculously easy to update, requires little coding knowledge and the functionality far surpasses any other content management system on the market.
Also if you can’t beat free.
WordPress in its infancy was built to be a blogging platform but has outgrown it’s baby clothes and has become an extremely powerful system for managing the content of any type of site. Blogs, Corporate Websites, E Commerce Sites, Directories, Wikis, Forums, Job Boards, Review Sites, Video sites, Personal Branding/Portfolio sites and the list goes on.

Using WordPress over the past couple of years has inspired me to learn the PHP coding language. This is so I can better understand the syntax and agilely tweak my sites. Plus you can do some pretty nifty stuff with PHP and I’d like to have a series of my own webapps one day.
